Regional GREEN-UP Councils

Regional industry sector partnerships bring together employers, organized labor, education and training providers, community organizations, workforce professionals and other key stakeholders around specific industries to address the workforce needs of employers and the education, training, employment, and career advancement needs of workers.
The WorkForce West Virginia GREEN-UP Council has formed five regional GREEN-UP Councils to serve as regional green industry sector partnerships and to support GREEN-UP activities.
- The Advantage Valley GREEN-UP Council supports green activities and projects in the Charleston-Huntington corridor served in part by Workforce Investment Board Region 2 and Workforce Investment Board Region 3.
- The Eastern West Virginia GREEN-UP Council supports green activities and projects in the Eastern Panhandle and Potomac Highlands served by Workforce Investment Board Region 7.
- The North Central West Virginia GREEN-UP Council supports green activities and projects in the Clarksburg/ Fairmont/ Morgantown corridor and surrounding areas served by Workforce Investment Board Region 6.
- The Northern West Virginia GREEN-UP Council supports green activities and projects in the Northern Panhandle served by Workforce Investment Board Region 5.
- The Mid-Ohio Valley GREEN-UP Council supports green activities and projects in Parkersburg and surrounding areas served by Workforce Investment Board Region 4.
- The Southern West Virginia GREEN-UP Council supports green activities and projects in southern West Virginia served in part by Workforce Investment Board Region 1 and Workforce Investment Board Region 2.
